Trick you would like to learn?

Good oppo 3s down sets.

Place you want to visit most?

Australia or maybe Corby,

Who do you think you ride like?

Robbie Morales

What are your thoughts on run ups?

Right, Ive calmed down with run ups. I think so far this year my tape count has been pretty good, last year there were some serious run up sessions and then zero clips but this year if Ive called it then its either got done or i get a hench shinner and pussy out.

Whats the best time you have had on your bike so far?

Riding through Barcelona with about 70 other riders was good, taking over the streets and holding up traffic. I like sessions where everyone sends something regardless if its a triple whip or a flyout 3, if people are pushing their own limits and everyones having fun then thats a good session.

Do you think the glasgow scene is good?

Its hard to say, ive got good mates in Glasgow but as far as riding goes its definitely not as strong as it was. its more made up of lots of different scenes dotted all around and just outside Glasgow, You see kids out riding street every now and again but wont even say alright and a lot of riders who would be riding all day every day in the summer a couple years ago are now into pretty shady stuff just because of the scum that hang around the park.

How does it compare with the other "scenes" in scotland?

I think that now, most cities don't have a truly unified scene. I think there are good scenes in Scotland (Edinburgh/ABDN and even the older riders who ride unit Wednesdays and Sundays) but although each scene is different in their own way the good thing is that we all have a bit of patriotism when its comes to Scotland and Scottish BMX. Mort people are easily approachable and there's always a couch to crash on wherever you go.

You recently left the 20twenty team. What were your reasons for doing this?

I left about 2 months ago now I think, no hard feelings or no sinister reasons at all. I just didn't feel that I belonged there if that makes sesnse. Basically I was staying at Unit 23 every weekend, riding with everyone and partying etc and I felt I was inadvertently getting more from unit than twenty20, It was easier for me to get stuff from the shop than wait for it to come down from the doom so it made practical sense as well. Me and Mingo are still mates and I am stoked on his help and input with Nearly and will defo have some run ups in the friends section of the 20twenty DVD.

How was filming "Nearly"? and were you happy with your section?

Filming was fun/hectic/incredible/dissapointing/frustrating last year and Im not 100% satisfied with my section but its a new year were back out filming already and If I want this years to be better Ill have to put in the work.

What are your plans for this year?

Travel more, Less run ups, get more clips, I wanna go filming overseas with the full factory, flow, shop and media teams of Nearly.

what was the most interesting trip you have ever taken? Why?

Estonia. CHD.

what is your favorite breakfast food?

Red Grapefruits

If you had a million Pounds how would you spend it?

Id get on a plane to Australia and work it out on the way. Possibly Buy Corby then burn it down.

If you could meet someone living or dead, who would it be and why?

Id like to meet Jade Goody so I could kill her myself.

What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?

There are far too many stories for this question, any trip with Isaac Lesser is always gonna result in a fucking hilarious story.

Tell us something we don't know about you?

I used to have a Budgie called Pegasus, he was 5 but we moved house and my mum wouldn't let me take him with us so she gave him away while i was at budget jam. Boot.

Any other intrests besides BMX?

Used to play in bands and be crazy about playing guitar but not so much anymore. I still love to play but ill play a couple times a week at most now.

Tell us a funny story about Disco Stu.

Right so im at work on Friday and im supposed to meeting disco on Saturday to ride and then go out however i give him a call on the Friday afternoon and he tells me hes going to see Sash in Dundee, so we go to the union get blitzed and watch Sash. Good times After that we go back to our mates uni halls and these hench fat birds were there, disco testosterone pumping after getting denied sex picks the smallest one up and tosses her around, oh he was wearing her pyjamas while doing this. So he picks her up one final time then launches her into a sink full of glasses and dishes. BANG! smashes her face into a heap of shit into the sink and starts crying. So were getting shouted at by the fat girls and disco refusing to stop partying nearly gets into a fight with about 40 stone worth of women.

Anything you would like to add?

Not really, Buy Nearly, Buy BSD products and go to unit. BOOM!

Disco stu wins.

Disco stu (pro nearly freestyle team rider) takes gold at the dundeesab games a few weeks ago. He won the super pro heat with a total of 97.6 points which puts him on top of the standings for round two at camp hoodward. Here at nearlybmx.com headquaters we are proud owners of disco stu and wish him well in his next super pro competition. As for our other team member (sean lafferty) didnt even qualify for the super pro finals but getting of the subject of competitions lets move onto the more important subject of tailwhips, yes so tailwhips are so good, they're great for your image and the sponsors or even just to win comps. Here are some pictures of Disco Stu taken by Colin McQuillen.

Dave edinburgh video

We rid edinburgh street yesterday and went to most the spots in the video above. I dont think you can appreciate how good something is on street untill you see the spot for yourself, like how bad the run in is or that there are curbs in the way. Anyway Lafferty our pro-ist bmxer didnt quite qualify for pro, must have been foucusing on his street to much beause he managed to nearly pull a trick yesterday, next time. Also this video is nearly 3 years old like me.
